The way Hunter brings the lyrics adds depth.
I caught a few words in B.E. Women that I never noticed in the Dead's version.
Something like
'Two times over but she never married him'
It is also good that their other songs here besides the Grateful Dead tunes.
Pretty sure that these lyrics would not be as well known if they had not become part of the Grateful Dead song book but that does not mean that Robert Hunter deserves any less credit for his work.
He reminds me of someone you would find playing in a tavern down by the docks of the city.
Talk about someone the Dead ought to have come out and take a curtain call for the 50th anniversary shows in Chi-town.

Listen to his songs. Don't expect to hear him play them well.

I've been trying to find more Robert Hunter shows for years. Since he stopped upating his journal and gave up being webmaster on dead.net, I've been seeking tours or anything. This is a treat. Listen to what he says before Stagger Lee. This version is before GD ever played it. I've had the pleasure to see RH a hanful of times and they are some of my fondest memories.
